Experienced. Certified. Supportive.
About Me
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical framework at all times.
I attended Heart of England School in Balsall Common and then spent many years training for my role at university, graduating after four years. Since then I have gained many years experience in counselling roles working for local companies and have recently decided to set up on my own.
I have specialised training and experience working with clients who have experienced multiple abusive relationships, and clients who have left an abusive relationship. In addition, I work with clients who have witnessed domestic abuse as a child and find the experience has impacted their adult life and relationships.
I have a broad knowledge and experience working with clients about loss, grief and bereavement during childhood, adolescent and adulthood. I offer clients an understanding of the mourning process, explore areas of conflict and how to adjust to a new sense of self.
I have experience of working empathically with a spectrum of issues including:
-
Domestic Violence
-
Abuse (Psychological, Physical, Financial, Emotional and Sexual)
-
Relationship Issues
-
Grief, Bereavement and Loss
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Low self-esteem and confidence
-
Work Related Stress
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Phobias
I am here to help my clients achieve a more positive outlook on life, and provide them with all the tools necessary to get them there. Let me help you learn and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals.
